Philips-Aurora, Dunlee division of Philips Healthcare – January 1997-Present
Developer and manufacturer of X-Ray tubes for the GTC (Generator's, Tubes, and Components) division of Philips Healthcare.

CAD Administrator/Designer, EDC- January 2004 - Present
Responsible for configuration of the engineering server's (Microsoft Server 2003 & 2008) for 25+ SolidWorks and AutoCAD users and an additional 50+ PDMWorks users. Software maintained includes; Solidworks2010Premium, WorkgroupPDM, EnterprisePDM development, SolidWorks Simulation Professional and Premium, EMWorks (CosmosEMS), CMMWorks, AutoCAD Mechanical2010, AutoCAD2010, AutoCAD Electrical 2010, AutoCAD2005, AutoCADLT, MathCAD, FlexLM, DezignWorks, PowerInspect, and many add-ons within the local organization and "sister" companies in TX and VA. Performed upgrades including Administrative Image downloads, patches, & service packs. Responsible for the accuracy and reliability of the engineering document vault. SAP Document Management System Administrator. Drafting Department Supervisor consisting typically of two to four permanent and/or contract designers/draftsmen. Technical Illustrator. Support for engineers on design projects. Modified the EDC department procedures for compliance with ISO 13485, FDA 21CFR 11, and ASME standards. Received the Management Award of Excellence for contributions to the company's achievement of ISO13485. Also received eight T.L.C. awards (Total Lower Cost) in 2009 for contributions on cost savings projects totaling >$1.2m; the most in the company. Engineering liaison to the QA department for resolution of CAPA's and compliance to Regulatory and Environmental affairs.

Fixture/Equipment Designer - January 1997 - January 2004 (continous support to present for engineering specific requests)
Responsible for the design, procurement, installation, testing and release of all new production fixtures consisting of 100-200 new projects each year. Supervised 4 technicians, 4 machinists, multiple designers, and as many as 6 separate vendors simultaneously to insure projects were completed in a timely manner consistent with the needs of the business. Project Manager for new equipment projects including; mechanical design, electrical controls design, pneumatics design, process piping design, quoting, scheduling, procurement, supervising maintenance personnel and contractors during installation, coordination with PLC programmers, testing and release to production. Responsible for CMM programming, including fixture design, GD&T, checking/instructing other programmers, and training operators. Maintain great relationships with many machine shops, stamping, metal fabrication, and electrical controls suppliers.

Gragg Consulting Co., Westmont, Ill  – January 2009-Present
Independent consultant for newspaper press modifications to reduce cost of production. Including web width changes, folder modifications, ink rails, plate lock-ups and press arrangement.

Danly Machine L.P., Cicero, Ill  – December 1989-January 1997
First Tier supplier and manufacturer of high tonnage stamping presses, transfer presses, and automation equipment.

Electrical/Mechanical Designer – Full Tenure
Main responsibilities included control panel design, machine wiring diagrams, operator interface & cable diagrams. Lead electrical, pneumatic, metered lubrication and hydraulic piping designer for press design projects & rebuild programs, including shop support and field services (5-10% travel) during installation.

CAD Administrator – Dual Duty 1994-1997
Manager of 20 station engineering network. System configured with 3 Sun Unix servers, 17 Sun Unix workstations, 2 Windows NT PC, 2 Windows95 PC's, 4 printers and 1 large format plotter. Software managed included Sun OS & Solaris, CADRA, CADRA Solids, Ansys and Microsoft Suite. Duties included installation, support, and repair of UNIX workstations, networking devices, plotters & printers, tape drives and other misc. equipment.

Rockwell International, Goss Press Division, Westmont, Ill – September 1985-December 1989
Engineering headquarters for high speed newspaper printing presses and folders.

CAD Detailer – 1987-1989
Duties included generating detail and assembly drawings of various components of high speed machinery including frames, platforms, and blower ductwork. Designer of press structure, layout of electrical components and schematics.

Engineering Services Clerk – 1985-1987
Performed blueprint and sepia reproduction. Operated ammonia based machines as well as large format Xerox and Oce machines and print folders. Purged the entire list (B.O.M.) file containing tens of thousands of paper documents to determine the accuracy of the files. Took part in the purging of the engineering paper document vault consisting of hundreds of thousands of documents to determine the accuracy of the files.
